🥳 A Surprise for Mickey!
The classroom was buzzing like a beehive. It was the day before November 18th, and Ms. Daisy Duck had gathered all the students—Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto—in a secret circle on the rug.
“Shhh!” whispered Ms. Daisy, holding a feather to her bill. “Tomorrow is a very, very special day. Does anyone remember why?”
Minnie raised her hand excitedly. “It’s Mickey’s birthday!”
“That’s right, Minnie!” said Ms. Daisy. “And since he always makes everyone else happy, we are going to surprise him with the best birthday ever. This is a top-secret mission!”
- Goofy’s job was to draw a huge sign that said “HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICKEY!” He promised to only use big, bright primary colors.
- Donald’s job was to help Ms. Daisy blow up the colorful balloons (even though he kept getting a little frustrated and shouting, “Aw, phooey!”).
- Pluto’s job was the most important: guarding the big, delicious cake that had giant chocolate ears on top. He sat by it, thumping his tail, making sure no one (especially not Goofy) accidentally bumped it.
- Minnie’s job was to write a big card, and she carefully drew a tiny picture of Mickey holding a heart.
The next morning, when Mickey walked into the classroom, it was dark.
“Gosh,” he thought, “Did I get the day wrong?”
Suddenly, the lights flipped on!
“SURPRISE!” everyone yelled.
The room was covered in red, yellow, and black. Goofy’s sign was hanging crookedly, balloons were bouncing everywhere, and Pluto was doing a happy little tail-spin dance next to the chocolate-eared cake.
Mickey’s famous grin stretched from ear to ear. “Gosh, thanks, pals!” he exclaimed. “This is the best birthday ever!”
Everyone cheered, and the rest of the day was spent playing games, wearing paper mouse ears, and of course, eating a huge slice of birthday cake.
